The Blue Baths recently provided the catering for our National McDonald's Franchisee and Head Office Meeting. This involved two quite different events- one held in the Redwoods under the sails and the second at the Blue Baths themselves. The first evening's meal was a gourmet barbeque and it most certainly satisfied even our more discerning and picky colleagues. There was a lot of commentary around how amazing the salmon and the lamb were- this coming come a Canadian lady and a New Caledonian man. There was more than enough choice for the 150 or so people that attended. The staff who served was very professional, both in their appearance and manner.

The second evening, hosted at the Blue Baths was our gala night. Unsurprisingly, the meal was sensational. The offerings were tempting and we all struggled to choose which of the dishes we would prefer. All of us were served promptly and we all ate at the same time- no small feat I imagine. Again the quality of the food was very high.

In terms of preparation in the lead up to the event, we found Jo and her staff to be very organized and easy to work with. We were proud to introduce them to the event organiser who was blown away by the fact that they seemed to have everything already thought of- such as lighting in the forest and different menu options.

During the event, both Jo and Natasha supervised the food and service. They appeared to have it all 'under control'. It was comforting and impressive to have the owner of the business involved at this level.

Overall, both nights went extremely well. A number of our colleagues expressed how impressed they were with the catering. It really showcased how great the 'Blue Baths' are in dealing with a large group. Again, because this part of our meeting went so well, it may well mean that these meetings are held in Rotorua more regularly.

For the last 2 years the Blue Baths team has been responsible for managing our end of season function and have provided both catering and entertainment for our 200 guests. In 2009 we enjoyed the actual Blue Baths venue and last year we hired the Redwood Forest venue so the food and entertainment was all brought in. The logistics were huge but it went without a hitch and months later I am still receiving compliments about the above events from our clients.

Each year I try and seek out a new experience for our growers and they have come to expect a high standard. This is the first time I have ever used the same company 2 years in a row. The reason is simply due to the excellent level of service provided and their attention to detail.

The quality and presentation of the food was superb and what really impresssed me was the completely engaged team from the organisers right down to the staff serving the food.

I would have no hesitation in recommending The Blue Baths for any other venture in the future as I have no doubt they will more than deliver to the expected standard.
