Located in Rotorua’s dress circle, The Blue Baths are described by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust as a building of national and international significance both for its association with the history of tourism, and the rarity as a building type. Although now thermally heated freshwater baths, the original Spanish Mission-style building was unique in providing mixed geothermal baths in New Zealand. Faithfully restored to their unique 1930s ambience and operating as a private function facility since 1999, The Blue Baths are a fabulous venue for a wide range of events, including:

Let our on-site professional catering team impress your important clients, colleagues or guests. We can look after up to 650 cocktail style or 350 banquet on-site. By linking The Blue Baths to the neighbouring Rotorua Museum of Art and History via a covered walkway, we can happily organise catered cocktail parties for large groups of up to 1000. for even larger capacity options.

Our out-catering team, Fine Food Services, is also on hand to provide top quality catering to conference groups at the nearby Rotorua Convention Centre and other local landmark venues. We highly recommend utilising The Blue Baths theatre company to add some real panache to a corporate event, gala dinner, theme function or conference progamme. Featuring talented singers, actors and musicians, this unique entertainment troupe draws on events from the building’s colourful past to create characters and scenarios that transform into entertainment options galore. Perhaps a murder mystery, theatre sports, a demonstration of 1930s pool etiquette combined with synchronised swimming display, a tango demonstration?
